-He will do five times over what he has done if re – elected – DG Bolowotan

The quality representation and unprecedented performances of Hon.(Dr.) Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) as representative of Ikorodu Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly has continued to be examined by stakeholders in the build up to the primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
It is on this basis that stakeholders in the constituency having been satisfied with the performance of their representative in the last three years have not only commended him but also supported his aspiration to return back to the Assembly to represent them for another term.
Following AMA’s first declaration on Tuesday, to recontest at a parley with the Justice Forum (JF), in Imota LCDA, where he was endorsed by the entire leadership and members of the group, the lawmaker proceeded to meet with The Mandate Movement (TMM) in Imota LCDA, where he also declared and solicited for their support towards his re-election bid.

Just like their JF counterpart, TMM at their meeting at the N.S Sho Hotels, Ajebo Road in Imota, also gave the lawmaker overwhelming support in form of endorsement.
TMM also declared their support and endorsement for President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Benson’s re – election, as President, Senator and Rep in the House of Reps, and also for Dr. Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State.
Hon. Ade Bolowotan, the Director -General, AMA Smile Foundation, the working team of Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, speaking on why his principal and team are visiting the TMM, thanked the party stakeholders in Imota for their support for AMA in the last three years.

He said that AMA and his team are visiting to seek for re – election because the lawmaker has delivered and touched every part of Ikorodu Constituency II.
“The reason we came to greet you today is very clear and heartfelt. Three years ago, we came here to humbly seek to be considered for election to this position. Today, we have returned not to beg, but to thank God and to thank you all, because our child, our friend, Aro Moshood Abiodun has performed well and exceptionally.
“If we are to score him, honestly, he has surpassed 100%. There is no local government or ward among the three wards under Constituency 2 where his positive impact has not been felt.”
Bolowotan urged party leaders and members to vote AMA in the forthcoming primaries based on his performance in the last three years.

“That is why we are here today — to say a big thank you for your continuous support. The primaries election is coming up in the next couple of days. We urge you all to look at what he has done so far. The women are collecting AMA endorsement funds currently, and it is working effectively as an empowerment programme. He has facilitated a lot of things across the constituency, the youths and we the people are benefiting. I know that AMA has touched many homes and many lives.”
Bolowotan added that his performance in the last three years will be incomparable to what he will still do when re – elected.
“We have come to assure you today that what you have seen in the past three years is nothing compared to what is still to come. In his second term, by the grace of God, he will do five times more than what he has already done.
“If we continue to support him, stand by him, and give him our full backing, we will all enjoy the dividends of his good work even more,” Bolowotan assured party stakeholders.

AMA speaking at The Mandate Group (TMM) declaration was full of appreciation to Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, his predecessor, Hon. Wasiu Agoro, former Chairman, Imota LCDA and Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, Chairman, Imota LCDA among other party chieftains for their support over the years.
He thanked party stakeholders for their support since his election for this first term.
“We all know where we started from, and by the grace of God, we have come a very long way to this point today. I am particularly happy and grateful to see our fathers and mothers here today. Your love, your blessings, and your encouragement give us the strength to keep pushing forward. Thank you all for coming. God bless you richly.
“I stand before you today with great joy in my heart because I believe that from this election, many fruitful and positive things will come out for our people and for our community,” AMA said.

Declaring his intention to run for another term, Hon. Aro said: “Now, let me address the main reason why we are gathered here today. I have come specifically to speak to members of our APC group — those of you who are card-carrying members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
“The time to speak to the wider public and those with voter’s cards will come very soon, but today belongs to us — the core members of this APC family.
“Dear brothers and sisters, I still remember vividly that on the 7th of June, you all came together and unanimously agreed that I should be the one to speak for you. You gave me the mandate and the trust to represent you all in Mashofin House. I am very glad and deeply humbled by the confidence you reposed in me that day.

“Because we are one united group, we speak with one voice and we act together. When the time is right, I will mention and appreciate all the things we have done together, one by one.
“But for now, I want to assure you that all the things you asked me to do on your behalf, I have been doing them faithfully. And I know that you all have been seeing the results with your own eyes.”
Reiterating his declaration before APC leaders and other stakeholders in Imota, AMA, added:
“Today, I have come before you once again to make a very important declaration. With all sense of humility and responsibility, I want to inform you that Aro Moshood Abiodun is ready to return to the House for a second term.

“I am here today to formally declare my intention to run and to contest in the upcoming primaries of our great party, the APC. I am also seeking your permission and your blessings to once again represent you and the good people of this constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
“What I have come to do today is to formally declare my intention before our party leaders and before all of you. I have come to seek your continued support, your prayers, and your mandate. I strongly believe that with your full backing, this journey will be successful by the grace of God.
“Thank you all once again for your love, your support, and your belief in me. God bless you all.”
Former Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, and a chieftain of the APC, Hon.Nurudeen Solaja, speaking urged that over 10, 000 APC registered voters in Imota, Ijede and Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to vote for AMA during the upcoming primaries.

While charging stakeholders to fully support AMA, Hon. Solaja also urged for support for the re – election of President Bola Tinubu, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, Rep. Babajimi Benson and Dr. Obafemi Hamzat during the primaries in Ikorodu Constituency II.
Former Assemblyman Solaja, emphasised that all the APC aspirants he has mentioned from Tinubu to AMA have performed and made great impacts in the three years and they deserved support for good governance to continue.
Executive Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon. Sunday Benson, who also spoke reiterated his stance on the performance and good representation by AMA and why he deserved to be returned by the party stakeholders in the three local council areas in Ikorodu Ikorodu Constituency II.

He also urged for support for President Bola Tinubu, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Benson as President, Governor, Senator and House of Representatives member.
Another APC leader, Dr (Col.) Titi Onafowokan, (Retd.), also attested to AMA’s performance and called for continuous support for him for better representation.
